So, at my last doctor's appointment on Tuesday, the doctor said I'm 2 1/2 - 3 cm dilated, and went ahead and scheduled my induction for Monday morning at 6am. Well, I've been having contractions ever since that last doctor's appointment, some as close as 10 minutes apart. Last night as I was getting ready, I noticed they were getting closer and closer together, and were averaging 1-2 minutes apart. So we called the doctor and headed on to St. Vincent's just to be on the safe side. Sure enough, it was false labor, and "practice contractions." I was still 2 1/2-3, and Gabriel was just hanging out with a steady heartbeat. He was getting a little mad though because it was 8:30, and we still hadn't eaten dinner by the time we left so I kept getting kicked in the ribs on the car ride to finally eat dinner, ha! He gets a little anxious when I don't eat on a regular basis!
If anything, this was a great "trial run" for Monday morning. We were able to leave most of our stuff in the car, so we should be good to go the second time around. Hopefully, when we take our next trip to St. Vincent's, we will be coming home with a baby!
